At re:publica 2012 the participants were invited to grab a chair – called monobloc – and take them wherever they needed them. Therefore participants were not limited to a certain spatial concept and could adjust the location to their needs. Throughout the conference several areas with different functions were created, used as long as needed and then rebuilt somewhere else. This open and adaptable space concept was great to facilitate interaction between the participants as a shared experience – the moving chairs and constantly changing space – was created and let everybody experience the motto „Action!“.
